PRS SE Mark Holcomb SVN Walnut Satin Electric Guitar

PRS SE Mark Holcomb SVN Walnut Satin Electric Guitar

PRS SE Mark Holcomb SVN - Walnut Satin

Progressive metal creates unique challenges for guitarists. You need a machine that can cope with drop tunings, high gain tones and which allows you to play complex passages with ease.

Nowhere are these qualities better expressed than with the PRS SE Mark Holcomb SVN - after all, if it's good enough for Periphery, it should be able to take whatever you can throw at it.

The ergonomically contoured body features a deep lower cutaway with an arched top that feels great and provides excellent access to every inch of the fretboard.

Maple and mahogany are paired to create an intensely full tone with plenty of mid-range while a walnut top veneer looks impressive, especially with the satin finish.

Maple is utilised for the neck to help with high-frequency definition which can get lost especially on the super-low seventh string.

PRS have taken the "Wide Thin" neck profile from Holcomb's six-string model and expertly remodelled it to accommodate the extra string while remaining fast and comfortable.

In addition, the long 26.5" scale and flat 20" radius ebony fretboard provide excellent string tension and help keep your notes perfectly intonated even on extreme bends.

A pair of Holcomb’s signature Seymour Duncan Alpha and Omega humbuckers provide a powerful high-output voice that keeps the bass tight even on the lowest notes.

Additional sonic options can be accessed via the push-pull tone knob that splits the pickups for single-coil sounds.

Finally, tuning stability is taken care of with a set of PRS-Designed machine heads and a Plate Style string-through bridge so you can have total confidence when stepping into the studio or onto the stage.
