Roland Jupiter-X 61 Key Full Size Synthesizer

Roland Jupiter-X 61 Key Full Size Synthesizer

Roland Jupiter X Synthesizer

The new Roland Jupiter X synthesizer is one of the most exciting hardware synths to be announced in recent years. This is a true flagship instrument which oozes build quality in every area - from the 61 key premium keyboard to the smooth and accurate knobs & sliders. The new Roland Jupiter X is an instrument worthy of sporting the same same as the original Jupiter 4, 6 and 8 models first released in the 1980s.

Of course, it's not just about build-quality - a new synth has to sound awesome, so read on to find out what makes the Roland Jupiter X so special..........

It's hard to put into words how excited I am by the release of the Jupiter X. The ability to 'stack' four different synths on top of one another whilst simultaneously running four arpeggiators and a drum part means we're going to be hearing some massive, and very creative sound textures coming from this beast. I've ordered mine already!

Roland Jupiter X Explained In Simple Terms

The Jupiter X is a five-part multi-timbral synthesizer. What sets the Jupiter X apart from other synths on the market is that it's possible to load four different accurately modelled vintage or sample-based synths into the memory at one time (plus a drum part). Each of these synths is treated as a completely discreet instrument and all the panel knobs/sliders can be used to control each part independently. In short, the Jupiter X has the potential to layer up a sample-based synth, Jupiter 8, Juno 106, SH101 at the same time. Or, if you want a really MASSIVE sound, why not layer four Jupiter 8's together - something which has until now, not been possible with hardware-based synthesizer keyboards.

Part Exchange Your Keyboard

If you already own a keyboard (or some keyboards!) which you would like to upgrade to the new Jupiter X then please email details of what you have to [email protected]. It is helpful if you could attach some photos to your email. We'll get right back to you with a part exchange valuation. We offer great part exchange values and it saves you the inconvenience of selling your instrument on the private market.

More Information About The Roland Jupiter X

The next-generation sound engine found in the Jupiter X allows players to delve into the 'back catalogue' of landmark Roland Synthesizers and morph them together to create totally unique sound textures. Nothing has ever sounded like this and we are so excited about the possibilities of sound creation that the Jupiter X will offer.

Here are some of the historic Roland Synths which are accurately modelled in the Jupiter X - all of which are available to be morphed and layered together:

JUPITER-8, JUNO-106, SH-101, XV-5080, RD pianos, Roland drum machine sounds including those found in the TR-808, TR-909, TR-707, CR-78, plus more.

I-Arpeggio Feature

JUPITER-X’s cutting-edge I-Arpeggio feature uses artificial intelligence to accompany user performances and inspire new musical ideas. I-Arpeggio takes player-created notes, rhythms, and phrases and uses them to develop complementary drum parts, basslines, chords, and arpeggiated lines in real-time. It works on each of JUPITER-X’s five parts simultaneously, and generated patterns can be customized and even exported to a DAW.

Intuitive Control Panel Layout

Built for on-the-spot music creation, JUPITER-X features an informative display and an array of large, comfortable knobs, sliders, and buttons. And with the dedicated effects section and quick switching between synth layers, the user can immediately take control of any aspect of a sound. This kind of natural, hands-on control gives players the feeling of reaching in, touching the sound, and instantly shaping it to suit the moment.

Sound Structure & Polyphony

JUPITER-X’s sound structure includes five parts: four for synths and one for drums. Its engine can power multiple authentic Roland classics like the JX-8P or JUPITER-8 with enough polyphony to create thick layers and complex backing parts. With so much polyphony on hand, users can freely create layered sounds, splits, and backing parts without limiting complex chords or musical ideas.
